We want to thank you for being here, no really! It’s tricky at any stage to put yourself out there and share the things you enjoy, let alone in a public forum. Your presence here is like a great big demonstration of support for what we’re trying to do.
We’ve recently started to put some goals behind our efforts here, besides learning more and having fun. We want to distribute 100,000 Free, Organic, Heirloom Seed Kits (#100kin10yrs) to show people how easy it is to grow their own food. We’ll be developing content that teaches people the steps to be successful and dealing with the challenges we face in our expanding garden spaces.
Along the way, we’re going to be interviewing incredible emerging artists. Bonafide stars that are unsigned or independent artists, but man are they talented. Oh yeah, we’ll be sipping on some brown spirits while we garden, interview, coordinate, grill, parent, just about anything. If you’ve got a recommendation for something that I’ve got to try, please let me know.
That is the goal here, let’s connect and learn together. We’ll share our stories with friends and hopefully spread the word that growing your own food isn’t something that should be scary or intimidating. It’s a beautiful, iterative process that if you pay close attention, is fool proof.
We understand that this is going to cost some money, and we’re happy to support the cause, but 100,000 is a big number. Typically, organizations like ours would ask for donations, but that’s not our style.
We’re selling the fruits of our labor (well, seeds actually) along with stickers, and merchandise. Profits of our shop will go towards supporting the video production, postage and mailing supplies, as well as as we grow, team members to help with stuffing seed packs. Many hands make light work.
